The Perfect Fit

My husband came home from (medical) school a couple weeks ago and informed me I needed to stop wearing multiple cheap sports bras and to invest in a really good, really supportive one. I immediately agreed because since having kids, I've become...well-endowed. He just learned about breast cancer and told me that well-endowed women who run with poor support are increasing their risk for breast cancer**. Seeing as cancer runs in my family, I set out to find that perfect bra. My sister mentioned one to me a while back, so I looked into it. The brand is Enell and they sell them at Fleet Feet. I read up on the sizing and fitting and went to try one on and fell in love. I still bounce around a little, but I can do sprints, I can dance, I can to kick-boxing, I can do P-90X plyometrics and not worry or think about how much I'm bouncing around. It is aboslutley AMAZING and I recommend them to everyone. Although the price was more than I've ever paid for a bra, it is totally worth it. If you invest in good running shoes to protect your legs and feet, why not invest in a good sports bra to protect your chest? Just do it. Just buy one. You won't regret it.

**Because it's Breast Cancer Awareness Month, here's three huge things that decrease your risk for breast cancer:
-breast-feeding
-regular moderate to vigorous physical training
-maintaining a healthy body weight

Fleet Feet will FIT you for a bra...no need to worry if you don't know your exact size. Sometimes, the sizing is not exact, as no two women are the same, but we make sure you walk out with a well fitting bra. This specific bra is for cup size "C" and up, but we do have other really supportive bras for those that are "B" and under. Just come in and see us! Stop wearing 2 or 3bras to stop the bounce! Also, if you do high-impact activity 5-6 days a week, then you need to look at replacing your bra every 6 months (just like your running shoes:-)).

I did the Tulsa Womens run wearing 3 bras. After that I said "NO MORE!" I bought my first Enell bra just days later. All I can say is it is a little piece of heaven! I'm a breast feeding mom and this keeps the girls nice and snuggley, even when they are full.
